Local chef uses life experience to create local delights
d-Vine Flavours & Sue’s Natural Cuisine
For 20 years, Sue Bebow, of d-Vine Flavours & Sue’s Natural Cuisine, has been producing her products from her very own recipes, with ingredients from local farmers. As a chef by trade, she knows how important it is to know exactly where her ingredients are sourced. Her chickpeas are often from Kingaroy, and she often finds coriander in Gympie.
The fresh, local ingredients are what keep customers coming back for d-Vine’s famous “Raw Superfood Green Salad Dressing,” as well as a unique range of hummus and deliciously marinated feta cheese. Their famous Raw Superfood dressing is loaded with healthy ingredients such as kale, ginger, garlic, flaxseed and even honey.
d-Vine Flavours also caters to a wide variety of diets, including gluten free. Many items are preservative free, gluten free and locally made. Items such as jams, chutneys, relishes, sauces, dressings and pesto’s are just a few of the locally made items customers enjoy at the Farmers’ Market.
Sue’s unique experience is a result of working in both restaurants and five star hotels, catering to a wide range of markets. Awarded both Gold and Silver medals in the Sunshine Coast Culinary Awards, she also attributes part of her success to her childhood in New Zealand. Sue’s mother, Shirley, made preserves from her home grown produce, sometimes enough to fill an entire garage! As preserves became almost a second nature for Sue, she soon began branching out in the culinary industry to create unique products of her own.
If you’re looking for gourmet flavours with local ingredients that cater to a variety of diets, be sure to stop in to see d-Vine Flavours & Sue’s Natural Cuisine stall at the Noosa Farmers’ Market on Sunday.
